Cell Preparations
For pre-clinical application (e.g., gene therapy) and cell based assays (e.g., drug screening) the required cell banks have not necessarily to be produced under GMP, but may be used later as source of GMP cell banks. For cell-based assays it is of great importance that the cells are manufactured in a single batch under defined settings to secure the comparability of the results. The cell culture capacity and the in-time provision of cells are challenges every screening department has to face.
